Time

Time hastens by so quickly within the blink of an eye. Years, months, days, weeks, hours, minutes, and seconds. At least that’s what it feels like. As brief as they seem to be, we all know one thing for sure. Life goes on. Whatever happened, happened. And there’s not a single thing you can do about it. Whether good or bad, we have to accept the blueprints that we made in life.

Whatever you’re going through right now, that too shall pass. Time is on autopilot and I highly doubt the possibility of a time freeze or a time rewind. You will get through the rainy days because the sun isn’t going anywhere. And when the sun comes out, it sure isn’t going to stop shining.

Life is everywhere, where the present only exist for it. We have to experience the whirlwind of emotions. We will be taught valuable lessons. To understand that people will do this, and people will do that. People will do all sorts of crazy things. So will us. Nothing can stop time from moving forward, so we shouldn’t stop ourselves from moving forward either.

Nights

Unlike mornings, nights are much different. When the sun sets, stars becomes visible above the night sky and the glowing moon illuminates the earth. They’re like sprinkles of the purest things in the world. The sound of the city subsides while people are ready to turn in for the night. More often, we lie there awake on our beds attempting to think of everything and everyone. We reflect on our protected memories. Where our thoughts become so much deeper and more profound late at night than any other time of day.

It is true that we ponder alone. We think alone. We dream alone. But if you were truly alone, you wouldn’t feel it because you wouldn’t have anything to miss. The fact that you feel alone shows how much you have, and how much you can lose. It’s almost impossible to miss something you’ve never had. So what is it that we miss? Or better yet, who do we miss. It’s only the depths of the night, where we tentatively overanalyze every situation, play different scenarios in our head, and try to scope out the unanswered questions which still remains a mystery.

I stay wide awake until these thoughts somehow lulls me to sleep. Either way, I’ve come to a realization that everything is going to be just fine. Everything I’ve been worrying about, and the things I’ve poured so much thought into, scarcely matter. But just like I said before, where there’s a vast amount of ugliness in the world, there is just as much beauty in it as well. Fears, worries, and uncertainty. Let them go. Drift off into a deep sleep. Possibly into an alluring dream. Where tomorrow is inevitably a new day.

Tribulations

It’s the tough hardships you face in life that someone your age shouldn’t have to deal with. It’s the constant burden you carry that weighs heavily on your shoulder. You’ve had to grow up pretty fast and yet still struggle to get by because it’s not a simple responsibility you can just walk away from. These tribulations, are increments of a greater whole that has set the foundation for your individuality. It’s what made you who you are today.

Certainly everyone’s problems are uniquely different but there are times when your adversity feels unpretentiously exceptional. Life doesn’t play favorites. Everyone has a story to tell because trials happen to all of us. Along with the conjunction of internal conflict, there are times when you degrade your self worth so much that it’s gotten to the point where you will never be able to call yourself beautiful.

You must realize that hating yourself will do nothing but ruin you even more. Even when you think you can’t do anything to bring up your self esteem, the least you can do is change the way you feel about yourself. Making your mark in life and leaving a legacy of how you want to be remembered is profoundly inspiring. But overcoming your struggles and getting back on your feet when life knocks you down, is what makes life truly extraordinary.

Fighter

I am a fighter. I believe in fighting for what is right. I don’t fight without a cause. If I see a person, a goal, a cause, or an idea so worthy of reverence and aesthetic value, absolutely nothing could hinder me from pursuing it. Every fiber of my being, every ounce of vigor. My heart, mind, and soul is obliged to fight for what I truly believe in. Every thought, every word, and every breath I take is genuinely devoted.

I fight, not because I always expect to win. Although I hope to win. It isn’t about the prize. I fight because I realize there is a chance to vindicate what I hope for. Yes, the pain. Pain is a reminder that I am still alive. I am human. Even if this pain rakes me across my chest like a fiery claw burning its way through my flesh, I won’t give up without a fight. It would only scar me physically from the outside. But my inner spirit is still intact. Scars are just a validation of my past battles. A reminder that I am indeed, resilient.

Bestowed upon everyone is a voice. A voice whether high or low, loud or quiet, strong or soft, deserves equal respect no less than anybody else. At times our inner voice is caged inside. Screaming out in agony, waiting for it to be heard. But we’re afraid to be morally judged and detested by humanity. However, to the people identified as the ones I trust and love with all of my heart. If you are terrified or hesitant to express what you believe in, I will fight for you. I will fight for your voice to be heard because you have infinite value and worth.

I won’t give up. To surrender would mean going against the very nature of my character. The outcome depends on assertion and willpower. Victory has to be so close, you could almost taste it. As my adrenaline rushes in exhilaration, I am determined to undertake anything that comes at me. Even if I am the only one standing. I am a fighter. I believe in fighting for what is right. If you are not a fighter, then you must be a lover. Therefore, I will stare right into your eyes with total conviction and ask you this one question:

Will you fight for what you love?

Mornings

A lot of people dislike the morning since they would rather be sleeping. Maybe they’re at work or school doing something they don’t want to be doing. Don’t get me wrong, it’s hard to wake up sometimes when you aren’t looking forward and dealing with all of  this crap this world has to offer. But just remember, where there’s a vast amount of ignorance and ugliness in the world, there is just as much good and beauty in it as well.

Personally, I like the mornings, I always have. It’s the reminder of a new day. A complete beginning with such beauty, but of course that gets overlooked just like the mornings. This chaotic world seems so peaceful in the morning the way the grass smells with the fresh morning dew, the way the sun rise as you wake up, the way the cold floor feels on your feet when you get out of bed, how your face feels after you wash it.

Just genuinely appreciating the little things in life. This world makes you a better person because it allows you to put all of those little things together to see the bigger picture of this strange universe we live in. I think to myself, “I’m really gonna miss this place.” and I sure will, but Heaven’s going to be a million times greater right? Just embrace every second of your life, and be thankful for all of the things you’ve experienced because if it wasn’t for that, you wouldn’t be where you are, or be who you are today.

Improvise

Life is all about improvising. If you can’t do that, learn how. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself in situations that will be hard to climb out of. Not everything goes according to plan. Just when you think you’ve figured things out, life throws unexpected curve balls and unpredictable circumstances at you. You have to come up with ideas right on the spot that will cause you to think spontaneously and creatively.

It all comes down to your practical choices and how well you adapt to those decision-making moments. Usually we have lots of time before we need to make a choice, but there are other times that require you to make a choice instantly. This is a moment of intensity you seldom find in life, similar to the moment a soldier has during war on the battlefield.

Think outside of the box and look at the big picture within every obstacle and situation you encounter. I believe there is a solution to every problem. Just how there’s a key to every door. It is our job to improvise, adapt, and overcome in order to survive. You are at one with your mind, body and soul. We make unexpected choices all the time. Who knows, you might end up right where you belong and right where you’re meant to be.

Solitude

Do you ever have those “alone” moments? That feeling where you just wanted to be left alone. That temporary need for personal space. Detaching yourself from all the stress, drama, and distractions. Isolating yourself from the influence of people’s thoughts and opinions.

Well, I do sometimes. I’m not sad or mad at anyone. Nor am I depressed. Nope, none of that. I just want to be alone. At a place quite different from my usual environment. A place where I can sort out my thoughts and emotions. It may sound absurd, but I find it somewhat therapeutic and peaceful.

You know, going out for a walk to enjoy the fresh air. Putting headphones on, listening to calm and relaxing music. Sitting at the park or the beach to appreciate the scenery. Just to reflect on life and its significant memories. Entering a deep thought process from my area of solitude, I could reminisce for hours.

Alone time just gives me a positive effect within my spirit. Which rejuvenates my soul and refreshes my mind. Make some time for yourself. It’s good for you.

Invertebrates

Invertebrates are animal species without a backbone. In a metaphorical sense, it means a person lacking strength of character. I find this statement to be true: “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.” If you don’t have any values or goals, are you just going to let people take advantage and influence your life?

We all have desires. We all have needs. But if we don’t discover what is it that we want from ourselves and what we stand for, we will live a life that has no value. We will live passively and unfulfilled. You should always have a mind of your own. Be the kind of person who knows exactly what you want from life and let nobody tell you otherwise. At least get known for one thing. Spend like 5 years doing it instead of flopping around all over the place. If you want to shift afterwards, go ahead. Like I said, choose something.

I admire those who stand up for what they believe in because they have the freedom to do that. It’s not about being rebellious, but rather refusing to conform with the norm. Trying to “fit in”. So what is it that you stand for? What are your values, what are your dreams and what are the visions for YOUR future? Grow a strong backbone and try not to become an “invertebrate”.

Hardships & Struggles

I appreciate and respect those who’ve gone through so much. I really admire the people that have fought through all the obstacles and road blocks to get to where they are in life. It could either be family matters, financial hardships, relationship problems, losing the one you love, or maybe just the insecurities you struggle with. Everyone has their own set of unique, individual hardships. Dealing with it must be the hardest thing to experience.

You meet those who support you along the way. Those who are your close friends. Those who you’ve just met and became best friends instantly whether online or in person. Those who live so far away. On the other hand, you’ve been betrayed, backstabbed, and lied to. Hurt and deceived by those who were never genuine in the first place. You get the point.

But I want to take the time to acknowledge those who’ve put up with hardships for years and years of struggle. The strongest people out there, the ones who laugh the hardest with a genuine smile, those are the people who have fought the toughest battles. They’ve decided that they’re not going to let anything hold them down. I truly admire them. Keep your head up and alway remind yourself how fortunate and blessed you are to be able to live your life.
